We are a group of Catholics who come together to support one another in our Faith and to grow in knowledge of the Faith through prayer, discussion, service, and camaraderie.

 

Veritas FAQs

Who's invited? Anyone who's interested. We welcome all ages, single and married, male and female, quiet and spirited, from all walks of life and with varied perspectives, locals and those from halfway around the world. Stop in any Thursday and check us out.

When and Where? We usually get together on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. We meet in the library on the ground floor of St. Mary's Priory on 5 Hillhouse Ave in New Haven. Most meetings last about an hour.

What do you do? Our activities include:

  • Scripture discussions and meditation.
  • Discussions of faith-related and theological topics. Recent examples include The Communion of Saints, The Nicene Creed and Just War Theory
  • Prayer
  • Community Service (annual Christmas toy drive, Spring food drive, volunteer work for Birthright)
  • Frequent social outings (parties, concerts, skiing and tennis, Anna Liffey's Pub, mini golf)
